Jan Laubscher finished school at Pretoria Boys High, 1965, attended the Air
Force Gymnasium in 1966, Studied BSc Electrical Engineering at Pretoria University,
worked at Imcor Zinc, Rosh Pinah, Namibia in 1971 and 1972, Consulting Engineers
Kantey, Templer, Loteryman & De Kroon and Ove Arup in Cape Town until end 1975,
Studied an MBA at UCT in 1976, Developed and implemented computer systems for
Stewarts & Lloyds, Started Systems Development & Support in 1985 and wrote systems
for Holcom, FixScaf, Executive Credit Control, Gray Security, Eastern Platinum
and Crawford International Loss Adjusters and consulted to the Insurance industry
on complex claims. KeyScore was developed using an engineering approach to solve
business problems.
Mike Laubscher finished school at Pretoria Boys High, 1995 and completed a
BSc(Software Engineering) degree at UNISA. He worked at DataPro as a Technical
Support Consultant on their networks and product offerings until 2007. He has
am intimate knowledge of the Linux operating system and has built and installed
many file servers, complete with backup systems, printer controllers, firewalls,
VPN controllers, e-mail servers and web servers. In 2008 he joined Systems
Development & Support where he does customer support, hardware and software
sales, network configuration and consulting. He is currently designing and
programming an on-line web based shopping system. Mike has two Comrades Marathons,
several Argus cycle races, Two Oceans and Midmar miles to his credit.
